Established in the 2014-2015 academic year, the department embarked on a transformative mission with the primary objective of reshaping the structure of the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE). The key goals included enhancing the quality of teaching for students, fostering collaboration among teachers and researchers, facilitating mutual exchange and dissemination of joint research and experiences, and expanding opportunities for professional development.
Within the academic domains of mathematics, natural sciences, informatics didactics, educational metrics, educational psychology, and philosophical theory, the department conducts the seminar "Problems, Solutions, Ways" at the national level once a fortnight. Additionally, an annual event is organized in collaboration with the National University of Mongolia, the Teacher's Professional Development Institute, the Education Evaluation Center, and other relevant organizations.
To empower general education teachers, the department focuses on delivering research findings, offering methodological advice, and disseminating innovative methodologies and didactic solutions through the publication of the biannual magazine "The Art of Teaching." Furthermore, an "Art in Teaching" program is implemented, targeting the enhancement of teaching skills and the overall professional development of teachers across all levels of educational institutions.
The department is actively engaged in multifaceted activities aimed at education development, policy implementation, and public enlightenment. Faculty members, including professors and teachers, actively contribute to the development of the country and society by participating in various projects and programs initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Institute of Education, and the Institute of Teacher Professional Development. Through these diverse initiatives, the department plays a pivotal role in shaping educational practices, fostering academic excellence, and contributing to broader societal advancement.
