Department of Informatics

In 1990, the initiation of student enrollment at the Faculty of Mathematics, State Teacher Training Institute, marked a pivotal moment. Recognizing the growing demand for professional training in informatics, the establishment of a dedicated department became imperative. Consequently, the Department of Informatics and Computational Mathematics came into existence through Order No. 352 issued by the Rector of the State Teachers' University on September 6, 1991.

Further reinforcing its commitment to computer science, informatics, and information technology education, the State Teachers' University, through Order No. 286 in 2000, established the School of Computer and Information Technology. This school was entrusted with overseeing training in these fields and managing network information system operations.

The department boasts 6 state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with modern computers, over 10 classrooms, and a library housing an extensive collection of over 3,000 books and textbooks. Additionally, it features an informatics training and research center dedicated to the professional development of teachers.

In fostering a global perspective, the department has cultivated collaborative partnerships with esteemed institutions, including China's Inner Mongolia Normal University, Russia's Buryat State University, Korea's Hanyang University, Japan's Tokyo Gakugei University, and Russia's Binom Publishing House. These collaborations enhance academic exchange, research initiatives, and the overall educational experience for both students and faculty.
